These can basically allow you to purchase a higher worth card with lesser money, which can be a great deal. Once purchased, these need to be redeem in your account.


 iTunes Gift Cards Redeeming Methods 

iTunes gift cards are popular gift items that can be redeemed by the users at the Apple App store or iTunes store. These make great gifts for occasions like holidays, birthdays, promotions etc.

People love receiving an iTunes gift cards as they can be useful in purchasing apps, games, books, movies or purchase music on iTunes. The gift card can easily be redeemed on iOS devices, whether it be a Mac book, an iPhone, or an iPad and can also be redeemed on Android devices.

If you have a physical iTunes gift card, you need to scratch off the back section above the bar code to reveal the alphanumeric code. This code then needs to be put in the App Store or the iTunes store to redeem it.


 Redeeming an iTunes Gift Card on a PC or Mac

You need to open iTunes

 2] 

Once opened, sign in using your Apple ID if you are not signed in yet.

 3] 

Click on the Account option in the menu at top of the screen. Select the Redeem option in the drop down menu.

You can use the camera to redeem the gift card by choosing the “Use Camera” option and following the appropriate directions.

Or you can try entering the code manually by selecting “You can also enter your code manually”

Follow the instruction that come up and click Redeem once the code has been scanned/input.


 Redeeming an iTunes Gift Card on an iOS Device 

In order to redeem an iTunes gift card on an iOS device, such as iPod Touch, iPad, or iPhone, you can follow the following steps:

Open the App store app by clicking on it on your iOS device.

 2] 

Click on Today at the bottom of the screen.

 3] 

Click on your phone that is displayed at the top of the screen.

 4] 

Select the “Redeem gift card or code” option.

 5] 

You can either use your device camera’s to redeem the gift card by scanning the code directly. Or, you can enter the code manually by selecting the “You can also enter your code manually” option.

Follow the on-screen instruction and tap on done/redeem and your iTunes store/App store balance will update.


 Redeeming an iTunes gift card on an Android Device 

 1] 

Open the Apple music app on your Android device.

 2] 

Open to the menu by clicking on the three horizontal lines icon.

Enter your Apple ID. You may also have to enter your Apple ID password. Set up your Apple music profile if you haven’t done it before.

Go to view account at the bottom of your screen and manually enter the gift card code that is on the back of your gift card.

Click on Redeem and your Apple account balance will get updated.

After following the above mentioned step according to your device, the amount will be credited to your Apple ID account. This balance can then be used anywhere where you login with your Apple ID.


Once you start making purchases, the amount will be deducted from your Apple ID balance and any additional charges will only be applicable if your gift card balance has been reduced to 0.

Once you have balance in your Apple ID, you can go to iTunes store and App store to spend it on movies, music, books and several other things.
